These titanium round weld nuts are designed be welded to a variety of flat surfaces, creating a threaded mounting point at the user's desired location. This design offers the user the ability to either weld the nut base side down with the thread barrel projecting upward, or using the thread barrel as a centering guide into a drilled, chamfered hole. A smooth base provides more contact with the mating surface than weld nuts with projections. The base also acts as a flange to distribute the load. A long barrel ensures secure thread engagement.
These nuts are manufactured from Grade2 (CP) titanium, which is commercially pure titanium. It is corrosion resistant in many chemical enviroments and completely corrosion free in all natural environments under boiling temperatures.
