These flat head screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Grade 5 titanium is a common aerospace alloy that has been used in commercial aircraft for decades. It is now affordable for the average user and a key component when working with composites or carbon fiber. Both carbon fiber and titanium are at the top of the galvanic scale which is why engineers specify titanium fasteners for use with carbon fiber and composites.
The Ring around the head is a trademark so you can quickly identify that the screw is manufactured from a high strength titanium alloy, versus unalloyed titanium. With a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural applications in race cars, sailboats, powerboats, engines, bicycles, etc. If you are looking for high strength, or lightweight, or zero rust, these flat head screws will work perfectly.
