These port plugs are designed to stop up ports for various reasons. The threads on these are straight, in contrast to NPT pipe plugs that have tapered therads. Upon threading the port plug into the female thread of a port, an o-ring around the base of the plug's head will keep gases or fluids from leaking out.
Titanium is the perfect material for port plugs. Other materials are susceptible to corrosion and failures in cooling systems often occur when the plug is overcome by corrosion. These port plugs are TRUE TITANIUM™, specifically Grade 2 (CP Titanium) and are 44% lighter than stainless steel. They will remain corrosion free in the natural environment, making it the perfect "install it and forget it" material for all kinds of systems.
